My european vacation is less than two months away and I am getting so excited. I am so ready for a vacation and for the chance to see a little more of this world. Our tour director is this darling old man named Ralph. I swear he is like 95 but has been doing this for 38 years so I know I am in good hands. Keep tuned for more updates...

So the other night while Danielle and I were out in Roy for a meeting for the Europe trip we are going on next summer we found this amazing display of lights behind the Roy fire station. Who knew something this awesome was hidden there. If you are ever in Roy this holiday season you have to stop by and see it!!!!

{Halloween Fun at the Cemetery}

A couple weeks ago I was able to go to the Salt Lake City cemetery with my dad and his primary class. While we were there we found a haunted bench and the haunted grave of Moritz. Reports have been made by the folks who live across the street from the cemetery that they have seen a person (ghost) sitting on the bench and that every Halloween the ghost of Moritz comes out to haunt his enemy. Oh and we also found the graves of some of the past prophets of our church and my great great great....grandfather Major Howard Egan and his wife Tamson. It was a really fun afternoon and I loved seeing the sun set on all the graves. Call me crazy but for me there is something peaceful about the cemetery.

Gift Basket for Charity

September is Community Support Month at my work and this year for the silent auction my team decided to make an "Italian Dinner" gift basket. My co-workers and I had tons of fun putting it together. Here is the final product.

Let me just start off by saying that I LOVE the fair!!! Which is kind of weird since I never went to one until about 4 years ago. Well last week it was once again fair time and so of course I went. It was so much fun. I had funnel cake and a corn dog...Can't beat that :0) I love seeing all the animals and just walking around. A big group of us went and had a really nice time. There was even a display case with cows made out of butter (see below). I can't wait for next year!!!

Las Vegas/Grand Canyon Trip ~ Part 1

Over Labor Day weekend I was able to go with some friends to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon. It was a really fun trip filled with making smores, walking the strip, swimming, campfire and all the lights of Las Vegas. I had a wonderful time. I haven't been to the Grand Canyon in years so it was really nice to go back.

Funny Easton

Easton is such a funny person. He literally could keep me entertained for hours just watching and listening to him. It is so fun to watch him learn. Here is a picture of him playing cars with papa. He kept his shirt like this for hours. It was so cute.

Anna's Blessing

A couple weeks ago I was able to go to my niece Anna's blessing. It was such a wonderful day. My brother David gave her a beautiful blessing. She has such a sweet spirit and is such a good baby. Easton was great too and loved the homemade ice cream :0)

Jackson Hole

Last week I was able to go up to Jackson Hole, WY with my parents and older brother David and his family. We had such a wonderful time. We went hiking around Jenny Lake ~ Had a BBQ out by the river ~ Went to Bar J Ranch ~ Shopped around town ~ And just enjoyed hanging out together. It is amazing how fast Easton and Anna are growing up.

As you probably already know Tim Burton is re-doing Alice in Wonderland with real people. I can hardly wait - Just looking at Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter makes me excited!!! Above are some photos from the movie. It comes out in March 2010.

Last week I was able to go up to Lacey, WA for my brother David's graduation which of course meant that I got to see my new niece Anna, who I had never met, and my nephew Easton. It was so much fun. They are such good kids and growing up so fast. It is sad that they live so far away. (Pictures of the graduation to come)

A Fabulous Movie

So I know I am a little behind the times since this movie was made in 2005 but I watched the best movie this weekend, It was Pride & Prejudice. The movie is wonderful and made me want to find my own Mr. Darcy. I was definitely born in the wrong decade. Movies about this time-period have always been my favorite. There is nothing like a good old fashion romance. If you have not seen it don't feel alone, I was right there with you, but go and rent it for sure!! Jane Austen is definitely someone I want to meet in the next life. That girl knows how to write!!!

Finding a Cure

Once again I have accepted the challenge to raise funds to support the Komen Salt Lake City Race for the Cure in the fight against breast cancer. One in eight women will be stricken with breast cancer in her lifetime and the more we raise, the more the Salt Lake City Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure can give back to fund vital breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs in our own community and support the national search for a cure. No donation is too small. Even a couple dollars will help in the fight to find a cure. My goal is to help find a cure for breast cancer in my lifetime and every donation made will help make this goal a reality. My niece finally decided to make her appearance in this world - Anna Elisabeth Farrell arrived yesterday at 4:21pm. She was 8 pounds 5 ounces and 21 inches long. Pictures to come - I can't wait to meet her!!!

So I know this is kind of cheesy but I just love this lamp. I got it a couple weeks ago from my friends roommate who is getting married and didn't want to haul it off to her new location. I love it because it is my style in a nutshell - Classic Old Fashion. It feels like something from another decade and that's what I love.

So after four years all of my family was able to get together. It was so much fun. We went to my
brothers house in Lacey, WA. He and his wife Marissa were wonderful hosts. We loved being together and playing with Easton my nephew. It is so much fun to watch him grow.
